Democracy, Freedom, and Protest

Four stories. Four moments in history. One continuing American journey.

Four stories, four different time periods, four interactive times with students and/or attendees all to talk about the most important components of America.  The stories shared will be from prior to the Revolutionary War, the desire of freedom for the enslaved peoples, women’s desire for the right to participate in the democratic process and the Civil Rights Movement.  Students will engage after each story, with the takeaway being that students can bring the lessons of the past into the present and continuing the American citizen journey.
